Competitive Displays - Lowveld Show 2011

Those of you who came to Chiredzi this past weekend expecting to see chickens and livestock would have been sorely disappointed. Our final set of photographs feature some of the sporting and competitive displays at the 2011 Lowveld Show.

Drummies

With band music from the ZNA, the various teams competed fiercely and put on quite a display.

Traditional Dance

A variety of traditional dance groups mesmerised the crowd with their agility.

Karate

When we were younger we'd pretend to be karate ninjas—but these boys do it for real. Hii-yaa!

Soccer

Women's soccer is a force to be reckoned with in the Lowveld.

Tug of War

Competition was fierce and victory well deserved for the various teams battling it out in the tug of war.
